VITICULTURE

  • The Iberian Peninsula Went Through a Viticultural Stagnation In the 1900’s.  The Phylloxera Epidemic, Coupled With the Civil War In Spain Followed by the Franco Political Regime Left the Vineyard and Wineries In Disarray and Separated From the Rest of the Wine World.

HISTORY

711 @Andalucia- “Invaded”,
Muslim Moors From North Africa Crossed the Straights of Gibraltar and Invaded the Iberian Peninsula. They Took Over, Converted Most of Its Inhabitants and Ruled For 5 Centuries. It Wasn’t Until 1245 That the Moors Were Pushed Back by a Crusade by the Churches In a Effort to Reclaim There Land. Finally In 1492 They Were Expelled Completly. The Moors Left a Distinct Mark On Andalucian Culture That Can Still Be Seen and Felt Today.
